Privacy policy

Anamorph does not have accounts, does not ask for your name or email, and does not build a profile of you. This page explains the small amount of data that is involved anyway.

What is stored on your device

Anamorph saves your game progress in your own browser using local storage. That includes your current streak, the last day you played, and whether you have finished today's puzzle. This information stays on your device. It is not sent to us and we cannot read it.

Clearing your browser data removes it, which also resets your streak.

What we collect

We do not ask you for personal information, and there is no sign up. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not fingerprint your browser or track you across other websites. There is no identifier that would let us recognise you on a later visit, which means we can see that a page was read but never that you were the one who read it.

What it records is the page address, the referring site, and coarse details derived from the request such as country, browser and device type. Cloudflare publishes what it collects in its Web Analytics privacy documentation. Because none of it identifies you, there is nothing here to opt out of and no banner to click.

Advertising

Anamorph is free to play and is funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show and measure ads, including ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads settings. More information about how Google uses data from sites that use its services is available at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Your choices about cookies

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for your consent before any advertising cookie is set, and you can accept or reject it with equal ease. Rejecting means you see non personalised ads rather than no ads. You can change your choice at any time from the link in the footer of the game.

If you are elsewhere, including India, you can still opt out of personalised advertising using the Google Ads settings link above.

Children

Anamorph is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
